Hakim/Sheikh Abdullah

Notable Jews of old Urmia, Early-Mid 1800s.

Hakim/Sheikh Abdullah (His common name), born in Urmia and educated in Baghdad. From scant information that I was able to gather, Upon his return to Urmia was instrumental in building the Jewish temple located at 'Markaz Square' section of Urmia and Was a practicing physician in Urmia.

Profound gratitude to family of Dr. Sina for allowing us to share this important painting from Urmia past.
